the broughton pioneer boot was designed in 1907 as a worker's boot for the coal industry in england. with the decline of coal mining in the 70s, the pioneer boot disappeared. until in 2013 the great-great-great-grandson of the company founder - tom broughton - found it on the attic and decided to revive the broughton boot in a limited edition based on this over 100-year-old pattern. the shoes were handmade in a 120-year-old shoe factory in northampton, in the heart of england, and as far as we know only available from us.
