it all began in 2012 with the takeover of a small over 60-year-old hat factory in the middle of new york city, which was about to be shut down. a small team around founder andrew livingston breathed new life into the old walls and started to produce hats and caps, but also jackets, trousers and shirts in small series. classic, american workwear and sportswear, newly interpreted and realized with unbelievably high quality standards. by now, the guys from knickerbocker have long since gone beyond the status of small series, and at some point the factory in brooklyn was no longer big enough for the brand's goals. but knickerbocker's high quality standards and promise of sustainability remained unchanged. we like.
