tanuki | aht 18oz shoai "arashi" high tapered jeans

this beautiful and highly limited arashi denim is tanuki’s very first aizome fabric. aizome is an old traditional japanese dyeing method that today only a handful of japanese craftsmen are able to do. no other denim requires this much manual labor. the slub yarn is individually selected and dipped in natural indigo by hand. the result is a beautiful color, a very light, yet deep blue. arashi translated means something like storm and you just have to take a look at the structure of this incredible fabric and you immediately understand why this is the perfect name for it. like a rising tempest. the cut is a slim tapered fit with a higher rise, roomy thighs, and tapered legs.
