made from 14oz slubby denim the slim 50's jeans black & black is tcb’s modern take on the first black jeans introduced by levi strauss in 1956. in that time levi’s decided that they needed to update their classic blue jeans in some way and dyed it black. in elvis presley the brand found the perfect poster boy. the “elvis presley jeans” was a successful marriage of an old product and its developing new character. a new set of customers was wearing it to identify themselves with the postwar scene of rebellious urban outliers. till today black denim is a way to differentiate yourself from the rest.
