from the great escape to great in the city. the m-43 service shoe was originally worn by american gi's in world war ii and gained cult status not least because style icon steve mcqueen wore these roughout boots in the movie the great escape. our stuf|f exclusive version in collaboration with the japanese label skoob is a quite more elegant interpretation of this classic. unlike the original, the boot is made from the finest brown horsehide leather and also gets a more office-/bar-ready appearance thanks to the leather sole with rubber half-sole. the flat unlined forepart will lead to a great and unique patina making our m-43 service shoe the ultimate compromise between dressy and casual.
