the original spec chinos are buzz rickson's modern, slimmer take on the u.s. army officer trousers from ww2 - think of steve mcqueen in the great escape. the trousers are made in japan from a sturdy cotton drill according to the exact military specifications from back then. the fabric is a bit stiff and shiny at the beginning, but it will get softer and softer with wear and from wash to wash, and also the shine will come off.
