the clean single riders jacket lsr-42 by y'2 leather is made in japan from 1.5 mm thick steerhide. the leather has a fine grain like that of horsehide and a transparent coloring by finishing with aniline dyes at a tannery specializing in horsehide. with increasing wear, the jacket develops a unique patina as the black color “flakes off” in areas of heavy wear, revealing the brown leather underneath.
