these john lofgren bootmaker champion sneakers are made in japan at one of the last remaining vulcanizing rubber sneaker factories. the factory is owned by the japanese brand moonstar that has been in the business since 1873. those who know moonstar know the high quality of their sneakers, but with the jlb champion sneakers john lofgren wanted to go the extra-mile and increased the quality standard “beyond typical”. thus jlb supplied their own heavier fabrics, used double thick soles, fabric tape all edges and double stitch all stress points.
