we’re always looking for the perfect essentials in our wardrobe. the perfect pair of jeans, the perfect leather jacket … and of course the perfect tee. a clean plain pocket tee is as simple as sophisticated. it’s like the tomato sauce for an italian trattoria. nothing special on the first view but if you’ve tasted a real good one you truly see the difference.
for our very first own shop tee we teamed up with the sportswear experts from topwin corporation, a manufacturing company with japanese roots located in torrance, california. having a deep passion for american heritage brands and authentic manufacturing topwin for example is responsible for the rebirth of velva sheen after purchasing the rights to the brand in 2009.
the design of our california tube pocket tee takes its inspiration from the first pocket tees which became famous in the 1950's by james dean & co, but with a more modern silhouette. it's made in the usa from a mid weight cotton fabric, using tubular knit construction for a seamless body and it’s prewashed for a soft vintage feel.
the california tee is designed in düsseldorf by stuf|f - fine goods and manufactured in torrance, california by topwin corporation.
